An act of kindness

During the Civil War occurred, President Abraham Lincoln often visited hospitals to talk with wounded soldiers being treated there. Once, doctors Lincoln came to the bed a young soldier who was near death.
"I can do for you anything right now?" Asked the president.

The soldier obviously did not recognize Lincoln. He embroidered whispered: "Would you please help me write a letter to my mother?"

Pen and paper were provided, and the president began to write not what the young man can read with little effort the rest of my weakness:

"My dearest mother, I was badly hurt while on duty. I'm afraid I can not recover. But Mom, do not be sad mom because of you. Please Kiss Mary and John Help me. Please please bless the parents. "

The soldier was too weak and unable to continue, so Lincoln signed the letter for him at the end and add the words: "Written for her son - Abraham Lincoln .
